Hello all,
I am facing one Issue something like below.
Sometimes I get more traffic and according to routing logic (simple one
user to one SMSC)
all messages are queued at kannel for a particular SMSC let name it
*SMSC_PROVIDER1*.
Form admin interface I know that another SMSC let name it *SMSC_PROVIDER2*
has no load.

*So Now I want to take some messages let 10K from SMSC_PROVIDER1 to
SMSC_PROVIDER2.*

NOTE: I don't want to send all message to the other route *SMSC_PROVIDER2*

I need the suggestion for this, How to handle this scenario because I have
to process the message as early as possible.

Is any readymade tool available for this?

Hi,

you have two options:

1. Load balance SMSC1 and SMSC2. See allowed-smsc config option and name your SMSCs equal.
2. Fallback to SMSC2 if SMSC1 is down or full. See preferred-smsc config option.

Thanks,
Alexander

This may work out for me currently. But my SMS are already in kannel store,
Even though SMS in kannel store file Is this routing is going to work out.

Also I will try to play with allowed-smsc and preferred-smsc to see how
routing is working. Currently, we are sending smsc parameter always to
smsbox. and It is simple (one-to-one) user to smsc map.

sqlbox we are not using, we connected smsbox directly to bearerbox.
Also my sms are in kannel store already, so i think sqlbox also will show
all as sent only. Hence it will not allow me to change I think.
anyway I will try this option, to see what else issue i am facing.

i think it is possible if you implement sqlbox to handle sms sent.., there
is smsc_id field that control on which way sms being sent, please take a
look document related with sqlbox
